About

Lynda Morton holds a Master of Counselling and Applied Psychotherapy.

Graduating from The Jansen Newman Institute in Counselling and Human Change in 2010, Lynda began her career working at a women’s refuge, spending many years counselling and providing emotional support to women over 55, and their families, made homeless due to domestic violence. These experiences inspired her interest in providing support for others, helping the ladies to create healthy emotional boundaries in all relationships.

Lynda recognises that setting good personal boundaries is critical to creating healthy relationships, increasing self-esteem and reducing stress, anxiety and depression. Strong self-esteem contributes to our identity as an individual, with the right to make our own choices.

Having been through her own trauma of breast cancer, and supporting her mother through several different cancers, she has a deep understand of the many issues that can arise when dealing with family issues and trauma.

Returning to study in 2012, completing her Master of Counselling and Applied Psychotherapy, she has a broad, in-depth understanding of the relationship between human change and behaviour.

“I am very passionate about caring for others and consider it a privilege to help those who are suffering the emotional distress resulting from breast cancer or other health-related issues, general trauma and managing the care of the elderly.”
